Teacher Grants K-12

Teacher Grant Program Teacher Grant Program

The McGinty Family Foundation welcomes your proposals for the Grants To Teachers program. This program supports the Foundation's fundamental objective of recognizing and encouraging outstanding K-12 teachers who develop and implement innovative classroom programs and activities to advance the learning process of their students. Proposals must come from teachers in Cuyahoga or surrounding county schools chartered under the Ohio Department of Education. The proposal should engage students in critical thinking and problem solving that deepen their knowledge of standards-based subject matter. The work should also improve students’ habits of inquiry, self-directed learning, and critical reflection in all subject areas.

Teacher Grant Guidelines

Proposals to fund programs up to $2,000 are considered for innovative classroom programs, including resource materials and technological materials to support the program and other educational programs that enhance the curriculum. Please be aware before you begin our grant process that under its charter the McGinty Family Foundation is strictly prohibited from assisting individuals directly and to pursue degrees, pay indirect costs, grant administration fees, or salaries, support travel costs or conference fees for more than one person, pay for applicant's stipends, lobby or support religious purposes. As you might expect, we receive more requests each year than we are able to fund with our limited resources. As a result, we are not able to fund ideas that do not fit within our current programming framework and guidelines.
